Shamanism is the ancient Irish way of being synchronised with ourselves and nature. It is the oldest form of healing which most indigenous cultures practiced, such as the Native Americans, the Incas and the Aborigines. Shamanism is a way of life. I have enjoyed learning, practicing and mentoring others on their own personal soul’s journey. Such a privilege! When people come to me for the very first time ever to do any type of holistic healing, we are amazed how easily people can tap into their own intuition, work with their own guides, be an active part of their own energetic healing and make positive shifts right there and then. This is why I love so much to practice Shamanism.
This course is a one day introduction to understanding the basics about shamanism including:
• Information about the 4 Directions, Mother Earth, universal energy and sacred space.
• Learn how to open sacred space and the 4 Directions
• Learn about your chakras and how to do a self-cleanses, your luminous energy field and self protection.
• Learn about the importance of cleansing your sacred space at home and work
• An understanding of the chakras and the aura from a shamanic perspective.

• Information about journeying and many opportunity to experience and develop this for personal healing and guidance

This course accounts for 7 hours of CPD points, towards re-accreditation with the IACP and other similar organisations.

The cost of this introductory course is deducted from the cost of the 4 Directions & More Residential Shamanic Apprencticeship Training Course which takes place in Teach Bhríde, in Tullow Carlow starting in November 2026. This course consists of 4 residenital weekends, Nov, Feb, May & Sept. This is a self development and medicine bundle / mesa building course. There will be a follow on Shamanic Practitioners Course, learning and practicing shamanic healing techniques, Illumination, Extraction, soul retrieval and a comprehensive shamanic healing method bringing it all together. You will learn and practice at the course, recieving and giving shamanic healings and then the option of case studies with each technique accredited for practice as we go. So you could be practicing shamanic healing in a years time.

About Geraldine Walsh
Geraldine has performed Shamanic work using a crane bag for over 10 years now and has worked professionally with many clients doing deep shamanic and somatic work. This is powerful work which involves illumination work, extraction work and soul retrieval. Geraldine has worked with the Quero in Peru, and with a visiting Mongolian Shaman in Ireland. She has run and facilitated other shamanic training courses around Ireland also.
She has run The Dublin Wellbeing Centre in Dublin 2 for over 20 years. Working there with clients and also in Carlow and Waterford.
Geraldine is an Accredited Psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with clinical training, Reiki Practitioner Trainer, Shamanic practitioner and facilitator, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Bodywork practitioner, Life Coach and Executive Coach with a background in IT and Project Management. Geraldine has lived and worked in Germany, Turkey and London for many years and spent short spells in Italy and Portugal.
