One day I was doing a nature therapy shamanic healing session with a client in in the beautiful setting of Marlay Park in Dublin. My client was at a crossroads in his life stating that his life felt stale and mundane, and he experienced a flatness within himself. My client stated that he was in a quandary which revolved around whether he should continue along the well-trodden path of security and play it safe in his life as he had done throughout his life up to this point, or whether he should take a risk and go travelling, take a career break and change job, and whether to commit to a long-term relationship or start life afresh.
As we were walking through the woods in Marlay Park I suggested to the client that he connect to Mother Earth and ask her to see him in his plight and to ask her to share her wisdom with him on how to move forward in whatever way seems right for the situation that my client found himself in
As we continued along the wooded area in the park my eyes were drawn to a man walking his dog some way off in the distance. The nature therapy continued when out of nowhere the dog ran excitedly past me and jumped up on my client, licking him, circling him as his tail swung excitedly, just as quickly as he connected to my client the dog departed again running back to his owner with his lead trailing behind him.
Excitedly my client knew instinctively that he had been seen by Spirit in Nature. He looked at me and said:
“I get it, I get it, I has to have fun, not be so serious in my life and let myself off the leash” .
With this wisdom from nature, he decided to leave his old ways of living behind and moved onwards in his life with clarity and purpose.
